We’re excited to introduce Jan Mitchell, a powerhouse of resilience, compassion, and inspiration! Hailing from Indianapolis, Jan’s journey is one of strength, personal growth, and healing. After facing the profound loss of her husband, Jan embraced the pain and transformed it into a mission to help others heal forward.
Jan is the author of Suddenly Single: Surviving the Demise of Your Relationship and Suddenly Single: Navigating Grief While Colliding with Purpose. Her incredible insights have been shared on platforms like WISH-TV 8, Gospel Grind Radio, and Speak Up Sis podcast, touching the lives of many.
As a grief coach and advocate, Jan’s mantra is clear: "The moment I allowed myself to feel is the moment I chose to heal." She’s committed to helping others navigate grief and find true healing.

Melahni Ake | Guest Speaker
Melahni Ake is the founder of Everyday Leaders, an award-winning author, community builder, and influencer dedicated to empowering leaders through faith-based personal growth and leadership development. Inspired by her transformative journey with the John Maxwell team and her own career pivot after 26 years in the medical device industry, Melahni founded Everyday Leaders in 2016 to help individuals unlock their potential and achieve significance.
A graduate of Greenwood High School and UINDY with degrees in Business Administration and Organizational Leadership, Melahni is deeply involved in her community, serving on multiple boards, hosting leadership events, and leading the Everyday Leaders 50in50 podcast since 2018. She also founded a 501(c)(3) organization to support youth and educators through grants and leadership programs and was awarded Woman Leader of the Year 2024 by Aspire Johnson County.
